Holiday Camps at Cheltenham Ladies College. These camps are a chance to learn new skills, have some fun, see friends, raise levels of fitness and keep active, enjoy playing with different people from different teams, learn new techniques and mostly importantly play games.
(Re)START HOCKEY

GOAL KEEPER TRAINING
We run specialist Goal Keeper coaching sessions, open to all ages and experience. The sessions are for a maximum of six keepers per coach and are aimed at giving the keepers more pitch time.
WALKING HOCKEY
Haven't played for a while? Injured & can’t run anymore or at the moment? Ordinary hockey too fast for you? If you answered YES to any of these, then try out WALKING HOCKEY. Fun way of getting a gentle workout whilst meeting new people.
ROCK UP & PLAY
So you want to play some extra hockey and improve your game play, these are the sessions for you. 60-minute fixture every week. Led by a Hockey Fever Coach/Umpire. The coach/umpire will input into the game to develop team and individual play. Weekly focuses will be on passing, moving off the ball, pressing the ball, working in units, creating patterns of play, taking free hits, where to move during a challenge, positioning, possession and working in triangles.
JUNIOR HOCKEY
Our Junior Hockey sessions are for children in Years 3 -8. Players are split into two groups Years 3-5 and Years 6-8. Any level of player can attend these sessions. The Umpires on pitch will ensure that players understand the Hockey Fever rules and support play encouraging the values of sporting behaviour, team spirit, fun and enjoyment at all times.

The only essential kit is some grippy trainers or astroturf trainers and clothes you can move easily in. We do recommend shin pads and a gum shield too, and if you have a stick it is handy but we do have sticks at the pitch. Just let us know beforehand that you need a stick (on your registration form) and we’ll have one that you can borrow. It is always useful to have a water bottle with you as you may get sweaty!
We use most of the same rules as traditional hockey with some slight adaptations for the size of pitch, we use a third of the overall size. To view the complete rules click here (opens in a new tab)
All players must be 13 or over and the Team Organiser must be 18 or over.
Head on over to our registration page and follow the instructions there.
When you register as part of a team or an individual you can also register as a ringer. A ringer is someone who is available to play extra matches / fill in for another team, as and when needed.

Lots of goals, short passes, good ball control, plenty of fun… a hell of a lot of running round!

Getting back into Hockey to me is more than just playing a team sport, I have met some amazing people and great friends. It’s been brilliant to be able to play the game I loved so much again, and have the support and encouragement of the team 🙂
I have rediscovered a sport that I love playing but didn’t think I’d get the chance to be involved with again. I have also met some fantastic people and made new friends; it’s one of the highlights of my week and great fun. I’d recommend it to anyone.
After putting my hockey days behind me 14 years ago and having a family and career I didn’t think I would have the time to enjoy the sport I loved so much. However, without the commitment of weekend matches I can now enjoy hockey with keen, friendly and like minded people. The hockey has been a catalyst for improved fitness and a wider circle of friends.
Played hockey quite a lot at school, what with trying to balance work and family life and not wanting to join a club, didn’t think I would play again. Hockey Fever has arrived, my little one is at school now so am relishing getting back into it!
